A wonderful learning opportunity connecting language, nature & culture beyond the classroom for Sra Arellano's College Spanish class & Sra Mathis' Spanish 3H classes. The field trip took the students to Morton Arboretum where they took a bus tour conducted in Spanish (practicing their listening skills) & visited the community ofrenda celebrating Dia de los Muertos. Our Bengals explored how this tradition honors & remembers loved ones who have passed away.
